Training

After completing basic medical training, and a residency in psychiatry at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Rustagi served a fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Creighton University in Omaha , Nebraska Followed by a Residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University Of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor , Michigan. In his last year of residency he was chosen to be the Chief Resident for Adult Psychiatry at the University Of Michigan Hospitals.

Teaching

Dr. Rustagi has been involved in teaching medical students at the Fort Wayne campus of Indiana University School of Medicine for over a decade. He is presently a Clinical Associate Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Rustagi is also a part of Speakers Bureau of some pharmaceutical companies. They sponsor his FDA regulated lectures about their products in different cities in Indiana and western Ohio.

Board Certification

Dr. Rustagi was certified in Psychiatry for life in 1988 by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Honors

During Residency Dr. Rustagi Was Nominated for Laughlin Fellowship of American College of Psychiatrists.
In 1994 Dr. Rustagi was given an Exemplary Psychiatrist Award by The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill "for exemplifying the kind of professional treatment and personal caring we strive to make available to all people who have severe mental illnesses." In a regional survey Dr. Rustagi was nominated by medical professionals as a Top Doc in upstate Indiana in 2005 and 2008.
